Ultra160 HD only detects as 8GB in Win98 when it's actually a 15GB HD

I have a Seagate Cheetah X15 36LP 18.4GB hard drive. I also have an Adaptec 29160N SCSI card. Now what I want to know is why is it only detected as an 8GB hard drive? Is there something I need to change or what not? Also, my Adaptec SCSI card BIOS is version 2.52. Please keep in mind that I'm running Windows 98.

Brother that is one old bios for that controller.. its been updated 5 times since 2.52.. get over to adaptec and download version 3.10.0 and then if you are running WinXP install the latest driver beta on the site as well. Your controller and the bios on the HDD may be conflicting with a bios that old. Just remove the drive cable before you do the flash. Then reconnect, reboot, go into the SCSI bios and setup. That SHOULD fix that issue.

BTW 2.52 dates back to at least 1999 maybe earlier.
