I have a Promise Ultra100 TX2, but the activity led light doesn't turn on when I access any of the drives hooked up to the ide card. Anybody else have this card and do the lights work properly for you?

The led works for my drives on the onboard ide channels. Does this card need to have the led cable hooked up to it? If yes, any way to hook up the led hook to the motherboard AND ide card?

You have to use discrete LED's...

One LED would indicate activity on the IDE channels.

One LED would indicate activity on the ATA controller channels.

Cheers!

hmm.. Are there leds with 2 colors? That might be an interesting idea if I can get that to work. I don't have any extra holds to stuff another led into on my case...

Bi-colour LED's share a common leg so I don't think that would be wise. A multi colour LED with discrete cathode and anode leads will work although you will have to decipher the colours displayed --aka psychedelia-- while both busses are busy.

Cheers!

hehe. That'd be cool. It's just odd to not see the led flash when I'm using the drives... Anything would be nice.
