Ultra100 error...

Hi, i just updated my bios to v.1007, my mobo is an Asus A7V 133

but soon after, i noticed i get the following error:

Ultra100 bios is not installed because there are no drives attached.

this is an onboard controller though, promise drivers are not available for this
and the asus help section is down [whenever i have a problem, the companies help support goes down... i'm cursed] :/
i've heard of ways to disable it maybe? [my dad found that out from a friend]
but i don't know how?

anyone had this problem... or know how to solve it?

any help is appreciated
thanks a lot

Do you have the RAID version of this board? If not then you might of flashed with the wrong bios.

There are two versions of that bios. The AVU1007 (for RAID boards) and the AVUC1007(for Non-RAID versions).

This is only a guess though.............🙂

hmm
maybe
i'll give it a try right now
then see what happens

thanks

but what about disabling it in BIOS?
is that an option or?

you can disable it in bios. There should be an option to "disable onboard ata-100"
I have seen this occur when there are no drives attached to the promise controller. This is not a problem though.
