Trying to install an operating system (win98), When I boot it up, it says :

"ultra100 BIOS not installed because there are no drives attached"

Then it says :

"PRESS A KEY TO REBOOT"

this occurs over and over

running a t-bird 1.33, Asus A7v133, seagate barracuda 20.4gb HD

Any help would be greatly appreciated..

I'm not familar with your board in particular but, it sounds to me like you have a Promise controller on that board, by looking spec's on Asus website, you ata66 through the chipset and a ata100 promise controller onboard.....what is happenin is you don't have any drives attached to the promise controller, upon boot-up it checks to see if there is any drives on there and since not, thats where that message comes into play......that is normal....if your not using the promise you might have an option in BIOS to disable, but if not don't worry everything is cool.
If you were to hook up a drive to that, you'll see the BIOS for the controller will load and detect that drive.
