Okay, I'm simply wondering if those of you that have used the Ultra X2 Connect have anything good/bad to say about it.

Please list the rough specs of the system you ran or tried to run with it and the ultimate outcome :)

So, is there anyone out there that actually owned an X2 Connect and knows anything about how to rate a PSU's performance that can comment on this PSU ?

I used to have one - but I sold it after I got the HX520.

I ran an overclocked E6600 3.2GHz and an overclocked x1900xt at 675/775, with a single hard drive - and the PSU did fine. I never had a stability issue with power. I never got to measure the 12V rails but software read 11.66V under load (the same software reads 11.85V under load for my HX520 when I really measured it out to be 12.01V load steady). Software readings are crap.

I had one. Looked good and the voltages were spot-on. Thing is I had an old revision of it that had the fan temp sensor in a bad location so the fan spun up to being the noisiest thing in my computer. I heard the newer ones had the temp sensor in a different spot to make it not so hyper sensitive. All it ever blew out of the PSU was just ever so slightly warm air, never really got too warm since it didn't have a chance heh. So I sold it and kept my Antec TP2 550W which blew up on me only a couple weeks later :( Shouldn't have done that. Oh well, I'm running a Corsair HX620 now.

I was running an opteron 165 @ 2.81GHz, 2GB memory, X1900XT (aftermarket cooling, otherwise I wouldn't have been able to hear the Ultra X2 over it lol :p), 2GB memory, single HD, dual opticals, SB Audigy 2 ZS.

Have several FAR Ultra Vs and X-Finitys. They all work reliably with all of my test boards. The 600 X-Finity is my reference PSU for bench testing. These units don't have high-end caps, but the designers make sure that there is sufficient air flow to prevent internal overheating.

Hmm, thats interesting, guess my roomate wouldn't bennefit from using my Enermax Liberty vs the X2 Connect for his 5600 X2 @ 3.3ghz, 512mb X1800XT PE, 3 HDD's and 2gb DDRII 900 :) Good to know :) I'll prob still trade him the PSU for the X2 and a HDD anyways if he wants but at least I know it'd be a moot pint for him and no biggie to me as theres no way in hell even the X2 will be stressed by my AXP system with my 1 HDD and 9800 Pro modded to XT :(
