I recently bought this PSU and it went bad within 3 days of usage. My question is this a good PSU or did I get a lemon? TigerDirect is willing to take it back and refund the money. So my question is would anyone recommend this unit Ultra X Connect PSU 500 watts
If not what PSU would you recommend for under $90?

 
X-connect is crap. For under $90 there are many good options available from Enermax that get close to or top 500 real Watts. I'd look at those.
 
I agree with the above posters. Dump the X-Connect and get a Fortron or Enermax.

Search these boards, and although you can find peeps who have had good luck with their X-Connect, many others have had problems. In some cases, serious problem (PSU took out mobo, cpu etc when it blew).
