Ultra X-Connect PSU 500W $69.99

Ultra X-Connect
Its a $120 power supply at Tiger Direct, Dartek, and Global Computer, but nowhere else. Its specifications put it right in line with other quality PSU in the $70 ~ $75 price range (E-Power, Enermax, CoolMax, etc.), the Enermax models in this price range typically offer separate +12v rails.

Ooo, i wonder how much i could sell my Antec True 430 for... 😀

They added this now "Due to the highly fluctuating market price of this product you may want to contact us for the current market price in order to offer you the best price on this product."

WHA?

you guys might want to do a search on this psu in gen hardware etc.... iv read of people having problems with this psu

I have this PSU and I'm not experiencing any trouble. I like how people assume an entire product line is crap because some people get online and complain about it. Meanwhile, there are tons of other people who aren't having any trouble. The only people who will say anything about a product are the ones with the problems. Nobody goes online to say, "Hey! My product is working fine!"

Anyone get shipping confirmations on their order yet?
As for the negative responses towards this PS, I've read nothing but positive reviews all around the Net. I guess there will always be some unsatified customers no matter how good a product is. See this thread:

Atleast the customer support at Ultra are willing to help and are responding to their customers.

I own the silver non-UV version and guess what?

Hey! My product is working fine!

And to me it's pretty silent, but I am not an authority on silent PC's.

i'd like to chime in on this thread just to give you guys more info. i work with the guy that runs PCPOWERZONE.com.. and it's really not his fault that the prices keep changing. His distributors are the ones that changes the price on him each week. one week it'll be $69, and the next they'd raise it $50. which really sucks cuz he'll get orders for these at $69 and he'll have to force the distributor to sell it to him at that price so that he can honor his web prices. it's a VERY nice power supply but my only concern is how far the wires stick out.. i'd buy one myself but it won't clear my top mounted radiator. oh well.. but yeah.. pcpowerzone are really good decent people. it's a shame the distributors mess up his prices all the time.

These aren't crap but they're not really 500W either. More like a well-dressed 350W unit with questionable fans. It looks purty tho.😀

Shipped today. They overcharged $4.96 for shipping (quoted 9.31 and charged 14.27) but I let them know about the error. Hope to see it and a $4.96 credit to my card in a couple days.

Hey TL,
Check your invoice. It might be tax. I got an email from them they had to add tax cause mine is hipping from Florida to Florida.
