Ultra Products X-Connect 500watt Power Supply

I have the non-window version 500W unit, and I love it. I've got a fairly fully loaded system, and I've never had any problems. The rails always stay tight, and it's got plenty of amps(34) on the 12V rail. I'd highly recommend it, but a few people on Anandtech have been trying to shoot it down without ever using one. I don't know why...

Oh please. Where does it say 'Powmax X-Connect 500W Power Supply'? They are just a reseller. All the attached reviews they list say ULTRA. That baseless attack is played out.

I would not pay $100 for one of them.

My point exactly...PowMax has made a deal with Ultra to resell the X-Connects made by Ultra. The Ultra PSU is NOT made by PowMax. Just read some (unbiased) reviews and don't bother listening to people who say they suck but have never used one.

I just wish Ultra made a 600-650W version (for SLI systems) 😉

I've been using one for over a month now and have had no problems, with it. Computer is on 24/7. I would recommend this power supply.

Mine has worked fine for 2 months plus, regardless of who made it. System is on almost 24/7.
