Has anyone seen any reviews on the Lifetime series power supplies made by Ultra?

It's rated at 32 amps for the 12 volt, lifetime warranty.

Google doesn't find anything, just reviews on a few different Ultra series/models.

One thing I found was a review on an older 450-watt Ultra that was rated at 28 amps
for the 12 volt rail. They abused it pretty badly (max load) for a few days and it performed well.

I got in on the $29 shipped deal for the Antec Earthwatts 380 a few months ago and
all 4 that I bought are still running great. Wondering if the ULTRA Lifetime Series LS600 600W is comparable, ZipZoomFly has them real cheap.

There's always the Thermaltake TR2 430-watt, but from what I can tell the Ultra 600-watt has a much higher 12-volt amp rating.

for one 32A of 12V for a 600W unit is pretty low.

For another I believe jonnyguru stated that the Lifetime series was based on the same platform as this

Ultra X2 Extreme Edition

a highlight from that review

Make a note to stay as far away from this flaming hunk of crap as you possibly can. If not, we highly suggest you make sure and have a fire extinguisher handy.

Uh, yeah, it kind of sounds as if these days Ultra is just trying to squeeze as much profit as possible. The only thing worse are those Dynex units sold by Best Buy with a 600% markup.

Saved by Newegg! They just listed the Antec Earthwatts 380 for $39.99 free shipping.

I actually had a serious problem with Newegg last year and the Earthwatts 380 was the only time I was tempted and ordered from them twice. Have been doing all of my parts ordering from other online vendors.
