Ultra DMA 100 and 4 devices, only one of which is DMA100

Say i have a dvd drive, a cd burner, a zip drive and a hard drive.
If the hard drive is DMA 100 and i have a DMA 100 motherboard with 2 IDE ports...
Can I put the DMA100 hard drive on the same IDE cable as a non DMA 100 device and will it still be operating at DMA 100?
