Question ultra cheap way to make monitor less reflective?

I just picked up an old Dell Monitor at a thrift store for $30. The image is fantastic, but the screen is ultra reflective - I can see my reflection and the things around me in it so much that it is distracting for me.

Can anyone think of an ultra cheap way (under $5) that would help diminish the reflectivity of the screen? For example, I thought of trying a laminating sheet, (which has a matte finish) but unfortunately, it is too small to cover the whole screen. It seems like it works great, but about 1/4 of the screen is left uncovered.

Could some sort of spray on solution work, or would it be more likely to ruin the screen?

Anyone have any other ideas? (Thanks for any brainstorming!)

You can buy matt screen protectors in monitor sizes on Amazon.
I would imagine that they are a pain in the arse to apply though!
