This might not be a hot deal, not sure, but it definetly seems like a good price, especially with all the harddrives a lot of you are accumulating.

So visit http://www.computer123.com and search for Ultra ATA/133

I'm posting this because I haven't seen anything about controller, and this was the lowest price I could find.

Enjoy.

Or you can get Promise brand Ultra66 cards, brand new, for $6 each here.

I have had good experiences with TeamExcess, although their shipping is high if you only order one or two.

For most systems and most drives, an Ultra133 card offers little/no real-world advantage over an Ultra66 card.

There is some Hack on the Promise ATA66 or ATA100 card where you need to solder a jumper wire, then you can reflash the card to a raid version.

The Promise Ultra66 was definitely hackable (and the hack was easy...basically solder in a
simple jumper wire). Not sure if the Ultra 100 was...

Of course, you might get lucky like I did when I bought my Ultra100 cards from TeamExcess for $6
each (used) and discovered they sent me FastTrak100 (raid) cards instead!

I ordered an ATA100 Controller Card from www.computer123.com last month for around $21.99 w/free shipping, this included the 2 dollars I added on for shipping security or something like that. I recieved the item in less than 2 weeks. The speed of shipping is decent, and the price is awsome. The packing sucks though, they just use a box and put the card in without any padding inside, so when you hold your box, and shake a little, you can hear clearly that there's no padding and such. Luckily the card still works. Plug 'n' play, no problem with it at all. Worked with WinME and WinXP.

I assume the ATA133 controller card is the same brand. I tried to order ATA133 from them last month, but they were in backorder, so I switched my order to ATA100 controller card instead.

Anyway, I guess it does worth a try to order from them. Atleast my one and only experience is not that bad beside I was too disappointed about their padding.
