Ultra ATA/133 PCI Adapter Card

I have the Asus A7V333 with RAID motherboard. It supports up to 8 IDE devices.

Is it possible to add a PCI card IDE controller for support of up to 12 IDE devices? I installed the Maxtor Ultra ATA/133 PCI Adapter Card (Promise) and my computer has crashed repeatedly - usually within an hour of turning it on. I am sure the PCI card is causing the problems because the computer has run fine overnight twice after uninstalling the card.

try putting it in a different slot. i had 2 ata pci card in my computer and didnt' have any probs
