Ultra ATA/100 PCI Adapter Card

I Have Maxtor Ultra ATA/100 PCI adapter Card.
I don't know suddenly my computer just freeze after I install it
It freeze after around 1 hour I leave my computer idle.
I used to use WinME, but since I use WinXP it happen like that.
What should I do?

You might want to try to flash the adapter card bios to the latest promise 100 firmware. The maxtor card is a rebadged promise 100 card. Or try a different pci slot.
