i am selling this p4 pcchips p53g computer, guy wanted a firewire port for his camera, got 1 from tiger direct and came with no drivers, after instalation it shows up as a network card,i dont have anything with a firewire to test it,is it installed correctly, win xp installed drivers upon reboot, says device is correct.......

I would have used a TI or NEC based card. But at least the VIA is cheap. 😉
If your device manager says it's good, then it probably is. Firewire is old school.

i have a wireless network card, just wanted the firewire for a movie camera hookup,it just dosent seem right to be seen as a network card,
