I just found this good deal on a CD-RW Drive $15 52x Brand New!

I know some brand and Manufacturers were left out of both the review and my poll, please let me know what Manufactureres or brands I may have forgotten.

:light::music:

I know some 3M/Imation Discs are manufacturerd by Sony. Many other brands are made by 3rd party Companies.

I hear media made in japan is of a better quality (like verbatim, most of maxell media, and some other brands)
I don't mind paying a premium for quality that will last longer than others. I've had too many CDRs just crap out after sitting around for too long...
speed? i like 16x for DVDs, and CDRs are pretty much all 52x by now..

I had a Samsung CD-RW that gagged on all CD-RW media I tried to packet write large files to (even the included Samsung disc!) except for TDK. So TDK gets my approval. Currently using TDK DVD+RW, CD-R and Sony DVD+R, CD-RW with a Plextor 12x DVD burner, all working well, though Plextor drives do have pretty good coping skills.

I am currently Using CD-RW 32x Verbatim on My Plextor Drive(8mb buffer), It's an awesome combination!

Ritek and Ridata are the same company btw. I use the matte finish or the printable surface ones from them.

Yes, But are differant brand labels. If you Buy only Ridata Labeled media the vote for Ridata.

I've got a spindle of RiData here; I bought it after running Kprobe on one of the cheap generic things I'd been using. Loads of errors - averaging at least 700+ C1 errors. The Ridata averages less than 75. I can't say I know precisely what it means, but I was able to discern that errors are bad things. 🙂
I can't say I've used anything "the most" though - I burn a DVD-R about once every two weeks. 😛
I mainly use DVD-RW - for that, I have found that Maxell's "DVD version 1.1" DVD-RW discs are the most compatible with my DVD player.

That is a heck of a roundup they did there; sure must have taken a long time to do.

I bought Legacy brand from Newegg. Only burned a few discs, but no problems so far.
I bought them because they were cheap and had positive reviews on Newegg. I guess I'll just have to wait and see if they last very long.

You do know that TY makes Fujifilm's disks right? I voted for Fujifilm since that's the brand that I buy, but they're really just TY disks with a differnt label.
