$1500 is a bit steep but I can see where hardcore tailgaters would want to use this. 17" LCD screen seems like it might be questionable as well.

Still, I go to Alabama football games and see fans tailgating on the quad with huge TV/Dish setups. This would compact things nicely and you could still hook it up to a bigger TV.

My old boss had a dish for his suv. He had a larger screen then 17" iirc.
