Ultimate in HT?

I've been thinking about doing a small HT setup in my appartment (small heh) Obviously noise and price restrictions limit MY decision, but if you didn't have either of these constraints, what would you choose, from speakers to receiver to sub?

In an apartment I'd look at some bass-shakers hooked the furniture to augment the bass you'll want to avoid.

Anyway, there's so much awesome high-end equipment out there I wouldn't know what to get. All my knowledge is centered on the best budget-line stuff so I wouldn't know what to do with anything more than $2000. Heh.

I think he wanted to know what people would choose if there were no contraints. Obviously money is huge constraint. You can find a pair of speakers for $150,000 and speaker wire that is $1,000 per foot. It's easy to go overboard.

Before any equipment is purchased I would want the perfect room. Great equipment doesn't mean much in a crappy room.

You kinda miss the point, I already have my set up, I'm asking what YOUR ultimate would be if you could have it.
