I thought "Blade" was pretty sweet. Goodfellas is the best movie of all time in my book.

I own most of those already neways but great deal if you are looking to start a collection.

over $10 per movie average...bbrrrrrr...I can't imagine spending more than about $8 average unless it's special. I've got around 200 DVDs (about half the ones on the list). My average is well less than $8, and probably in the $6.50 range. Columbia House has many deals that will get most if not all of these and it would be well less than this price. With that said, if you want absolutely ever one on the list and you want them NOW...then this is one way to do it.

Seems like a mix of excellent (GoodFellas), good (Twister), mediocre (Blade), and crap (Batman & Robin).

Ultimate? I don't know about that, however.

The "Action" bundle includes Tango & Cash. Surely one of the finest action movies of all time.

I can't wait for the prequel.

Not such a great deal if you're getting any movies you don't want. For less than $8 a piece you could join Columbia House. They probably have every one of those titles, or better yet, they have a whole bunch you could choose from, and get exactly what you want. For $329 you could get over 40 movies.

I agree. But there are people out there who are used to paying retail and this is a good deal for them.

You could have bought all four Batman movies and all four Lethal Weapon movies at Wal Mart during their Father's Day special for $7.50 each.

Those who pay retail are soon parted from their money. There is a cure for stupidity.

Different people have different needs, not everybody has 3 weeks to wait for a movie from Columbia House.

The Dozen comedy and action pack just plainly suck.

I pay around $10-15 because I'm an impulsive buyer. I usually buy new releases during their first week when they are around $15 instead of $20. Also, a quarter of my collection is chinese movies that were purchased through ebay for about $10 a pop.

The ultimate dvd collection actually is not bad at all as I might have only 1 or 2 repeat, but dropping $330 in one sitting kinda hurts.

actually, it ususally takes me just over a week to get my enrollment package. you can order your fulfillment titles after your account is activiated (usually it's activiated on a tuesday or thrusday). that means that the fulfillemnt titles will come a few days after your enrollment package. you can have two accounts at the same time. that means that you could get (16) DVDs that you actually want in about two weeks. of course, this is more work than buying a whole big package, but your savings are substantial, and you don't end up with stuff you don't want.

Maybe it's just me, but my experience with CH was extremely slow.

No offense, but can't you normally find these movies in the $10 range anyway? Personally I already own 9 of them and of the others, there *might* be 3 "good" ones. This is a good deal for anyone normally paying $15 and up, but you still have to take a lot of "junk" with the good (although if you could somehow dump the bad ones for 15 each, you'd make out ;) . It looks like WB is trying to clean out their closet :)
