Ultima VIII: Pagan

I remember playing this game a long time ago but unfortunately, it is a DOS game. I really want to play it through this time but the only problem I have is getting the sound to work. The installer for the game only offers certain IRQs and I/O in which my sound card does not fall under. Switching the card to different PCI slots would not help either due to all the other cards in the slots dont have the correct IRQ or IO either. I have tried DOSbox and VDMSound but DOSbox lags and VDMSound does not load the game up. I tried making a boot disk of the game but it cannot access my HD due to it being NTFS. I have also wondered if the .ini file for the game could be edited with the correct settings but alas the ini file looks like jibberish. Any help would be appreciated in getting the sound to work for this game.

Look for a Program Called DosBox should help you run Ultima without any issues.
