Ulead Video Studio - Simple (?) Task

Can anyone explain how I can use this Video-editor-in-a-clown-suit? All I want to do is take an existing MPEG file and chop off the last 3 or 4 seconds.

i am no video guru but when i tried using Ulead studio for a smiliar task (cut a scene from a mpeg) i was overwhelmed with how much computer power was required and how long it was taking. I just quit and used another method which was on some vcd help site (http://www.vcdhelp.com/edit) This is if you are like me and have a very large video (hundreds of megs).
