Now, I'm sure most people on here have not had an ulcer/blister/sore on their uvula before. I have some sort of virus that managed to get me this wonderful thing (plus a sore throat and other things, though the sore throat is mostly due to the sore).

I basically have to wait it out and take OTC stuff like any normal cold, according to my doctor. But this sore is really bothering me, and I'm trying to figure out what works best for people to help soothe it until it's cleared up. Any personal suggestions?

Well if you stopped shoving objects in your mouth that might let things heal in a few days.

1. Get an ulcer
2. Go to doctor and get advice
3. Reject doctor's advice
4. Ask for advice on ATOT
5. ????
6. PROFIT!

i thought vulva at first too

OP, it sounds like you have a canker sore there, not all that uncommon. you could get a mouthrinse RX from your doc to help.

Salty water seems to work well for me. Burns a bit, but from experience it seems to make it clear up faster.

It will certainly help as it is mildly antiseptic.

Rejecting the doctor's advice...because all he said was take normal OTC meds, and it will get better over time...? So, by asking for advice on what works for others as far as OTC meds, I am rejecting what the doctor said...?

Cepocal hasn't been working too well for me. I may have to try a spray.

Sadly (though funny), everyone misreads this.

Chamomile tea. I used it when my nipple was inflamed and it worked well.
