uknown USB device message in XP

I keep getting this message popping up... it comes up for 1 second, goes away for 1 second, then comes back over and over. I dont have any USB devices plugged in. It started yesterday when I switched network cards I think. any idea how to stop it?

for some reason it isn't popping up right now, so its kinda eratic.

i *think* it was related to the vmware virtual network drivers (to let the virtual machines use the net) and hopefully its fixed now. we shall see 🙂
