The jury heard that the pair clamped a woman attempting a three point turn, a man sitting in his car with the engine running and on one occasion, they attempted to clamp a moving car.

We went through that crap here. One or 2 towing firms gave all a black-eye. The city council got so fed up with the BS and the complaints that bylaws were enacted to stop the predatory towing firms completely.

Although some firms now complain that they can't make any money, people atleast don't have to pay huge fees to get their cars back.

We have on-demand return. If your car is towed, all you have to do is demand your car be released. If they want money for towing you, they must haul you into small claims court. If they refuse to release the car, they will be charged by the police and ordered to release the car.
