At least they recognize that they are in no position to conduct independant expeditionary operations or project power in any meaningful way. Why won't the rest of Europe fall in line? Instead this ridiculous talk of a European military headquarters, independant GPS systems, and other projects that do nothing to enhance US security.
did you notice imperialism ended around the beginning of the 20th century ? your toughts are very VERY undemocratic, somehow that does not surprise me, your ideal world would be with the US as one big world leader n'est pas ?
well guess what, I dont share that vision, the united states are the most undemocratic democracy ever. if you tell what you think you get punished, france said what they tought, gets punished, belgium said what they tought, gets punished, everyone opposing the US gets punished, well there goes free speech down the drain.
and the reason I REALLY would want some european military force is to make sure people like you never get right, because europe is so much different (and democratically seen, better imho) and would better not end up like another lapdog in the united states' kennel.
everything you say represents everything I hate about america, i'll call it "the perception of freedom" you think you are free, but you pay for that freedom by oppressing other people's freedom.
I'd like to see how you would be if the roles were reversed.
