And of course any further expansion must be contingent on the US retaining overall military command, and ultimate decision making capability as we do now. Other nations should also realign thier forces to fight terrorism and other like threats as the US has repeatedly called for.

The British are very wise in recognizing thier place in the world and limitations.

Ok, I just read the article and the fact is, the UK is not making cutbacks. The UK is restructuring and removing the cumbersome bits of their military in replace of much more advance and mobile forms to battle things such as terrorism.

We're lucky to have the US as the superpower in the world. The magnitude of destruction is several orders less!

If i see what previous posters placed here, the US superpower has also no regards for others so I dont see the good point about the US being a superpower in this case....

if they would abide international law, then I'd have no problem at all here by teh way, but laws cannot be trampled upon because a superpower thinks it can do so, that's why they were created in the first place.
