UK Telephone wiring

in my new house,the extension cable has this

white wire, blue stripes (number 5?)
white wire, orange stripes (number 4?)
orange wire (white stripes (number 3?)
blue wire, white stripes (number 2?)

the phone connector that i need to wire up to the end of this cable has this:

red (may be orange)
blue
green
white

can anyone advise what the right way is, and if anything will blow up if i can it wrong?
any advise asap because I'm moving into the new house in a couple of hours

nothing will blow up

I'm pretty sure wiring should be...

white -> 2 (blue, white stripes)
green -> 3 (orange)
blue -> 4 (white, orange stripes)
red -> 5 (white, blue stripes)

superb cheers...that matches what i found from a googled website for wiring, just wanted a double check.
