In Britain there are muslim gangs going out and raping non-muslim girls. Almost all of the perpetrators are of Pakistani origin yet because of political correctness these gangs are being labelled "Asian".

This is grossly unfair to Hindus and Sikhs as well as Asian people because they are being lumped in as rapists, It is insulting and disrespectful to them and just shows how political correctness has gone too far. Members of the communities were outraged over this and think its unfair and wrong.

Why are there muslim gangs raping non-muslim girls and why do people insist on labeling them as Asian even though other innocent people get lumped in?

Do you believe that political correctness has gone too far and multiculturalism is a failure?

A year or more ago there was a topic dealing with race and I posted a rather long answer about how terms like "asian" are meaningless in the truest sense. ~99% of Russia is in Asia. India is in Asia. The Middle East is in Asia. Thus they are all truly asian. I was born in North America, as were my parents, and their parents, and their parents, and their parents, and their parents. I am, for all intents and purposes, a native American, yet I am not a Native American. And so on. It's all just stupid.

Last time I checked, people from the continent of asia were considered asian.

The problem with this is that the gangs are muslim only gangs who are raping non muslims and are predominantly from pakistan, because of political correctness they are calling the gangs asian but they are muslim only gangs.

As well by calling them Asian it implies that Hindus and Sikhs along with other asians are associated with the rapings when they aren't. Many Hindu and Sikh girls have also been raped.

After finding that the best marathon runners in the world were mostly from Kenya (and sometimes Hawaii), UK police have demanded that Mother Nature be brought to justice. By that they mean they'll give her a slap on the wrist and she'll be back on the streets promoting racism within a few hours.

Taking things with a grain of salt invariably proves a good idea. What I don't understand is the use of "Asian". That may be geographically correct but even from that context it's so broad as to be useless. Applied for a cultural purpose? Might as well say "from earth" for all the information it gives. Strangely unhelpful.

Agreed completely with you, there are plenty of white people who are good marathon runners but there are many black marathon runners who are better, this isn't racist yet because race is involved people consider it as racist.

True, but in my experience Egypt has been mostly referred to as Egypt recently. I know that traditionally it has been part of the "Middle East" (hell, Libya was arguably part of the "Middle East" at one point even though it's clearly North Africa). I guess it's one of those gray area countries that maybe is 'leaving' the Middle East in our vernacular, like Turkey (which is now Eastern Europe I guess). Recently "Middle East" has really referred to Iraq, Iran, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Qatar (the "arab" countries). Hell, even Israel/Palestine seems to ebb and flow as to its inclusion.

The Middle East refers to a region, not a continent. It's like Central America; just because Nicaragua is in Central America doesn't mean it's not also part of the continent of North America. Sometimes regions cross over continental boundaries, as with the Middle East or Latin America.

This does appear to be a pretty clear-cut case of a very specific ethnic group mostly being responsible for a crime spree, but society using a more "neutral-sounding" generic adjective to avoid "offending anyone". Sorry, but the piece you linked to made a very weak argument, not even really denying the reality that this is not about "Asians" but about a specific subgroup of them, but trying meekly to get everyone to look the other way.

Firstly I was right on the other issues and I am not crazy, but this is exactly what I have been warning about all along. It is grossly unfair for Hindus and Sikhs to be lumped in with the rape gangs as well if the rape gangs were white would the same general term to be used like this case, it wouldn't.

That article constantly refers to them as Asian which is my whole point, they shouldn't be referred to as Asian because its not fair to Hindus/Sikhs and other Asians. These muslim rape gangs have a deep disrespect for non muslim women and people refuse to address the issue. They are a minority in Britain yet commit a huge amount of the crime, something is wrong here.

Political correctness has run amok and multiculturalism is a failure.
