anyone else gonna do this? i think it may be cool, so i'm gonna do it online. The test can be found athttp://www.bbc.co.uk/testthenation . American people can just do it anyway if you want, but say your from the north west so at the end of it they say that north west is the smartest

It's obvious that the North West is the smartest anyway, we don't need any Anandtechers boosting our score 🙂

Anyone do the last test? I think I got 133 on that one.

Ugh, I did pretty bad. I got most of them right, just the last part kicked me in the butt, i got a 6/12. The rest were fairly good scores.

I remember taking one a few years back, it said 155!
 
lol, i think it's pretty cool. Live in the TV studio they have different genres of people and they have all computers that compare the scores.

Some of those include blondes, body-builders, musicians, city dealers, mechanics and tax inspectors, plus eight celebrities.

Wow, that really doesn't say much for the Northwestern England. They must be barely capable of autonomic breathing for americans to benefit them any.

a lot better than I thought I was going (damn pistons game is distracting me). My "score" was only a 125 though (I estimated I would get a 110). Anyone know how the scoring works? Is it based on std. deviations for a "normal" person?
 
Well, I've just done the test and I got 133, exactly the same as last time. I guess it must be reasonably accurate then 🙂

so on tv, in the end, i can't remember the complete order that all the "groups" came in [they had 50 people of the same profession and averaged their scores and compared], but i can remember who beat who.

The city traders beat the taxmen [yaaay] the bodybuilders beat the mechanics [yaaay], and the blondes beat both of those groups [and the blondes were showing some boobage, yaaay]


so in the end, i think IQ tests are bollocks, and as this only took like 20 minutes, surely the proper mensa tests are alot longer?


oh and the northwest only came about midway in the national rankings, you fools didn't help :'(
