Greetings America - I thought you might like a little foriegn politics for once, just to pass the time between now and the next gun thread 😉

The UK general election is May 6 and it's WIDE wide open - more than it has been in living memory. And it's not just Labour (socialists) and the Conservatives (obviously) competing for top spot this time, the Liberals are in with a chance for the first time in nearly a century, with a program of spending cuts to big budget projects - nuclear, id cards, police bureaucracy - combined with reform of the courts and electoral system. The sitting PM Gordon Brown did not perform well in the TV debates and many thought he threw it away last week with this gaffe:

But he's pulling it back by going back to his roots and waving the red flag a bit (or a lot...):

So nobody has a clue what's going to happen now. I'll be on Twitter and DigitalSpy most of the night but I might post a few updates here too.

Cool. Kinda like America if the Libertarians got smart and all parties shifted to the left a few notches. Should be interesting to watch.

simon cowell likes the conservative guy... that ought to be good for a few votes... hopefully the voters don't brain fart and try to text in their vote...
