Any particular reasons? Would those people's have any more control over their lives being part of a small nation as opposed to being part of a large one?I am for Scottish, Cornish, Channel, Welsh, Orkney, Shetland, and Manx independence. And the reintegration of Northern Ireland into the Republic of Ireland. Also for Greenlandic and Faroe independence.
While smaller organisations may be more likely to be influenced in the direction that you want by political activists they may also be influenced in directions that you don't see as advantageous. You'd be much more at the mercy of vested interests in a nation state like Wales or Kernow. I'm all for more regional autonomy and decentralisation of government (particularly in the UK which is dominated by London) but independence would be, IMHO, a disaster for the smaller states.
