If not, send an e-mail to Dabs http://www.dabs.com and ask whether they sell cBO stepping, they normally reply to e-mail quickly

Shagga - why oh why oh why(!) would you want a 800EB? (I'll let you off if it's for a friend 😉). You can get a 700e with cb0 stepping that's 100% sure to hit at least 933mhz from overclockers.co.uk, and both your motherboard and RAM would be a perfect match for that processor!

Anyway, whilst I'm at pains to link you to this 😉, you can get an 800eb from Watford Electronics here:

edit: it says it's only an 800B, but obviously, they're mistaken.

I think Dabs priced are one of the best in the UK, anyway, I have just remembered, a 800 cannot be anything except cB0 stepping

All 800 MHz or faster P3's are of the cB0 stepping (or at least should be), according to Intel. See:

Overclockers P3 700e's aren't pretested at 933 Mhz and the fact they aren't selling them as that speed to me says not enough of their batch did 933 Mhz to sell them as that. Also they have been out of stock for a while now

Cobain - yep, I just checked, and right now they don't have the 700e's guaranteed to 933...but I can honest say that they DID a few days ago 😉 (although they were out of stock then).

Even a 650-866 would be better than an 800EB though 🙂

Yes the 650E cB0 processors are guaranteed to do 866mhz at overclockers.co.uk ,which means they are probably a safer choice if you are overclocking.

I've been keeping my eyes out for a 700e pretested to 933 Mhz at Overclockers but no luck so far.

Although with next upgrade 1Ghz would be nice.

Cobain - they definitely had the 700e's-->933+ at overclockers.co.uk, I guess you must have missed them 🙁 Those 1Ghz ready Athlons sure are cheap...

Yeah but they are old K7's with really slow cache they are trying to shift. I need T-bird or P3 really for my use. What is a realistic overclock for that P3 800e

Apparently the 800e's aren't so great for overclocking...you'd be extremely luck to get 8X133 out of them, so I hear. What are your specs at the moment?

I'm running Celeron 466 in an Asus P3V4X, (did have dual till damn BP6 died.). With 256 PC100 (Which I will switch to PC133 cas 2 ram), Geforce DDR (Changing to 64Mb Radeon), Adaptec 2940U2W, 2 18 Gb Seagate Cheetahs and SB Live.

I am willing to change motherboard, but at moment P3 looks a better option.
