Was playing pickup basketball at a local court, went up for a shot and felt something pop in the front of my right thigh. Pain galore. I couldn't put any weight on it and it hurt like a SOB. Feeling a little better now (1 hour later) but still has me worried.

You're right, the chances that something similiar may have happened to one the billion other members here are nil.

The only way you're going to know for sure what happened is to go to a properly educated person (read: a doctor) and have it diagnosed.

Oh, and there's nowhere near 1,000,000,000 people on these forums.

Torn/pulled muscle?
Do you feel a pop when that happens?

Happened to me once when I pulled my groin. A "pop" followed by excruciating pain.

Someone is proven Wrong 😛

Not really. You have no idea whether what happened to him and what happened to the OP are related at all, other than sound and location. A real diagnosis of both injuries could prove to be two completely different problems.
