UhOh, A7V/Low-Level Format?

Just go to WD's website and find a low-level format utility. Worst case you can call them and ask them to email one to you.

There are a few "generic" ones out there try

in the wd software is an option to "write zero to the drive" which is basically their version of the LLF🙂
 
Great idea! I got that software from one TA member this morning.

there's no need to do a llf on a hard drive especially with a modern day system if you have to, delete the partition in fdisk and start over.

If you low level format a newwer hard it will destroy it at worst. At best the controller will stop you from doing it.
