Sorry guys, I know this has been covered before, but searching turned up nothing.
How do I remove ALL drivers from win 98 without formating. Vaguely remmeber "HBlah blah blah Local machineblah blah blah"
Installin a new mobo today, trying to get away from formatting.

Boot up in Safe Mode and remove all devices through device manager. You had better back up important data before trying a mobo swap in Win98.

You were close with your post. Do this:

Click Start, Run, type REGEDIT, and press Enter.
Go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE, right click the Enum folder below it, and delete that key.
Restart the computer and it will re-detect all of the hardware in the machine.
