Uhm.. Laptop Vid Card Problem..

But when the drive is installed, the screen turns off after the windows loading screen turns on.

Obviously I uninstalled the driver but WTF is going on!!!

Argh.. I hope i didn't kill my video card here but since I know the drivers are the issue I'm not so sure what to do.

Ok, maybe you need to try to do a deep cleaning on your system. Use Driver Cleaner in safe mode to remove all old ATI files. Then use it to clean your driver.cab file. Then reboot into windows and try once again with your new drivers. Maybe that will help.

Originally I thought the files might have been corrupt and i was looking for an excuse to get a new hard drive.

The harddrive is less than 24 hours old, I'm doing a clean install.

Full clean of windows? If that doesn't work then you have a real hardware problem. Good luck man.

Daaaaaaamn. Trying to install the omega drivers.

I hope I don't need to swap out video cards... that'd be a bitch.

Visually I don't see anything wrong with it. I've taken the card out and fully disassembled the computer.. still nothing.

No scorch marks or anything.
