:Q Holy crap !!! :Q That's a huge dump by the DPC!

The current situation of Team Anandtech distributed computing is not good. In fact, it's depressing. TA lost the #1 position in rc5 to the DPC a while back and now they've taken OGR as well. We've never been #1 in SETI@Home but we've been making a steady climb (from ~35th to 10th in club teams) up the charts despite being the smallest of any team around us. Now that progress has stopped. Maybe that's the reason for Possessed Freak's thread HERE? 😉

Please Anandtech, support your distributed computing projects!

Comparing DPC and TA is like comparing Microsoft and Novell - one of each pair is doing ALOT of promoting and advertising, while the other is not - and it shows! :|
 
Ok, now we neet do work on two things:

First We MUST recruiut new members or get
old members back in the game.

Second get that crack rack coming

I think this should be the priority order.
We need to get Anand to do a lot more pushing.
I have only been here for a week. You know how
I found out about it, an artiacl.

We need to get a nice long artical and hype it UP!
That will get the people coming.
 
Well, I'm joining the OGR team tommorow when I get my password, so help is on the way with all my one 1Ghz Tbirds!
 
Just a reminder - the automatic password doesn't work. You'll have to look up your stats, and press the "click here to send your password" button. After that, you should get it quickly 🙂
 
If you've just started working today, you'll have to wait for the next stats update - happens around 12:00am EST (give or take).

Our SETI progress has not stopped.
We will continue to pass other teams. 😀
We just won't be passing the Dutch as soon as we had hoped.
Hewlett-Packard, IBM, and The Planetary Society should all be falling.
 
D'oh! this is distubing. HTH did that happen? I believe ottowanker and others warned us this was coming. I'll get an OGR box going this weekend. I have a K6-2 350 I've been intending for this.

Wow, that's impressive. I almost wish they could've managed 10 Tnodes more to hit 1 Pnode in a single day. :Q

And I just noticed one of my cows (A 1 GHz T'bird no less) had it's network cable unplugged, so it was running on fumes for several days. :|

P.S. Jani, That should be "All your block are belong to Team Anandtech." 😉
