uhhh...I have a problem with dual boot...

I used to dual boot with win2k and winME. (ME was there first, and 2k came later)

buut, ME was giving me problems, so i wiped/reinstalled it. After reinstalling, I couldnt dual boot (the option to choose didnt come up...) So i installed bootmagic...it detected both, and gives me the option of booting into ME or 2k...HOWEVER, if I choose 2k, i get an error...

any ideas?

you wiped out your ntldr and boot.ini. you should be able to repair those by booting with the w2k cd and using your repair disk to restore the boot files. I will look for a link to clarify.

Like ddiccico says, you should try a fixmbr command at the reovery console

boot from the win2k cd, choose repair, boot into the repair console. at the command prompt type fixmbr

uh oh. sounds like you wiped out your NT boot files (which were on your ME partition)

only way to recover (unless you bakc up your boot files, which it sure doesn't sound like you did) is to put the win2k cd in and do a repair...OR, you may have to put the cd in and bein an actual re-install, then cancel it before it starts copying files..this might rebuild the boot sector and restore your boot files.
