For better or worse, Bandai is gone from Team Starfire to his new home on Team LittleWhiteDog, and I would like to say that we as a team wish him the best of luck in the future. I'ts too bad that we all as a team had to pay the price that Bandai charged us to leave, but it will only serve to bring us closer together as a TEAM and rest assured, we will be back and better than ever.

And besides......2nd time Stomps taste SOOOO much sweeter anyway.... 😉 LOL

Enjoy it while you can folks, cuz this aint over by a longshot. 🙂

You fine folks were making things exciting and may do so again 😀 More power to you... but not all at once 😉

Dasm!

But, you guys are stronger than one ego-tistic person. You are a great team, made of more "little people". Sure you had a big gun in Bandai, but i'm sure you will overcome this, and all become stronger because of it.

It seems this guy has done enough screwing with you fine folks over at BBR, i hope for your sakes, that it is over now, you don't deserve to be thrown around like you are.

My best wishes to you 🙂

Sorry to see BBR lose Bandai (again

) but IMO they're a better "TEAM" without him than with him and they'll still be a force in SETI@Home. Correct me if I'm wrong but wasn't Bandai doing about 6K WU's per day? If that's the case then BBR will still be doing a significant amount of WU's. Also, there's the possibility of Bandai's return in the future. Either way, we can't do anything about it but focus on the teams ahead of us.

To BBR members: Your team was classy when you passed us so this event does not make me happy. If we gained a member to pass you I'd feel good about it but this isn't the way we wanted to get 7th place. 🙁 Stick together and IMO you'll be stronger in the long run. 🙂

I posted this on our team's morning coffee thread but I wanted to add it to this thread since I know a lot of our BBR friends will be reading it. 😉

If there was ever a "case" where WUs should stay with the team, this would be the prime example. I sure hope Seti2 adopts a different policy.

I've long proposed that each processed WU should have two "counters" attached to it.

Counter #1: An individual specific counter that would add to the "individuals" total WUs. This could only be seen by looking at the individual stats (not Team stats).
Counter #2: A Team counter that would go to the credit of whatever team you belong to at the time of the processing. If you do not belong to a team, then the "team credit" would go to no one.

This would allow Seti Users to move to different teams if they so desired but it would have no effect on the "historical team WUs".

I'm going to send this recommendation on to S@H and cite the Bandai situation as a perfect example of why this should be the policy. I could cite many other similar cases but this Bandai case is the most flagrant behavior by an individual that only glorifies himself at the detriment of a whole team. No action by one single person should so dramatically affect hundreds, no thousands, of others.

Man this Bandai dude is a total chump! To play this kind of immature game is just wrong. I am not a big fan of BBR but I don't like to see this kind of stuff happen to anyone! What a D!CK!
