I'm taking a weeks worth of "vacation" time to help out my parents. They are building a new house and my dad is putting the basement foundation and walls in himself. He needed some help so I volunteered to go home and help him out.

Ouch.

Today I moved over 2.5 tons worth of 65 pound masonary block in a heat index of 115. I nearly passed out from heat exhaustion around 2:00 PM.

I've got two more days of this yet to go. Woohoo!


....I want my nice air conditioned office back 🙁

Bah! She's back in Iowa City dealing out Morphine and other fun controlled substances.

I wanna know how my back is gonna feel in the morning. I had to pick up those 2.5 tons worth of 65 pound blocks and put them on a scafolding that was about 6'5&quot; high.
