Uhaul vs Budget

Uhual is cheaper (can't beat 19.99 + .59/mi for a cargo van), but they may be sold out due to the end of August/beginning of Sept rush (college, Sept 1 move ins, August 31st move outs). I needed a truck and I eneded up taking my mom's new Sienna since all the Uhuals were sold out (sucked b/c I kept thinking I was going to damage it). I have never had a bad experience with Uhual despite what people say. Once you get to the bigger trucks, the prices look similair across the board when comapring companies. Just get the place that will make less damage milieage wise.

I suggest getting a 14' truck if you have lotsa of funiture. This will ensure you will make minimal amount of trips. Trust me on this, the extra money you will spend will be well worth your while. I just moved to another aprtment and going back and forth was a time killer and only caused more fatigue (put in the fcator that I had to move up 4.5 flights of stairs....my whole body is killing me now and I still have stuff in the van to bring up🙁)

Penske if you have a choice and going long distance...

They have very well maintained trucks (at least the many I've dealt with) and also web + AAA discounts. Not to mention you can negociate at the counter for better pricing.

check the prices online

i used uhaul last time, atlanta to KC
time before that i used penske, NY to atlanta

Search the forums for uhaul... I've seen at least a dozen horror stories posted by users here. I posted one myself.

What difference is $10 or $20 for the move, if you have better assurance that your vehicle will be there and ready when you're ready to move; and you will be far more likely to have a better maintained vehicle?

My pick is not a moving company per se, but if you were choosing a candy bar, I'd have to go with hershey's with almonds

DO NOT USE UHAUL

i have a cousin whos a regional manager and they still have the same computer system then used in the 80s. and this isnt backwater country uhaul, its norther california. the geek in you must find something wrong with this.

so again... ANYBODY BUT UHAUL
