Uh.. what do you do when you have to teach a girl u've never met "computers" ? edit2: help me with convo topics!

hi,

erm okay. this may sound weird.. one day i decide to open up my raid array to the network. whats in my raid array? about 140gb of anime. i dont normally do this due to leechers. i hate them. they just take take take and dont give back. but that one day, i left guest unpassworded. [note that i am on a campus dorm network]. So im playing cs [counterstrike] at a friends dorm and i decide to remote desktop in and check my email. then there was a email saying that she felt back for taking and not giving back. and so more emails were exchanged and i got her aim sn. then about 3 weeks later of "anime sharing" .. u know, i've talked ot her alot now and she apparently likes computers alot and even "configured" her own dell with RDR and whatnot[and thats pretty funny i think]. and she was bitching how winME was crashy and blah. so it got around to the fact that i know alot and she wants me to teach her. then yesterday her friend IM'ed me and told me she wants to tag along. so i have 2 girls coming to my dorm which i havent met yet at all and i have no freaking idea what to teach. rofl.. >_<

edit2: what kind of topics should u talk about when theres nothing to talk about? i have 2 computers taht require winxp installations and that means 45minutes at least at looking at each other >_< helpz me. and no porn jokes. and no asking for pics. =)

tell them about the HARD drive and insist that a FLOPPY drive is no good. don't forget to mention the keySTROKES and make sure you teach them about RAM in the slot.

Actually i don't know what to tell them though. I would guess that some simple tips might be helpful, like geting rid of excess temp files that you don't need and defraging.

2. Tools -> Internet Options
3. Delete Cookies and Files
4. Content tab -> Auto Complete
5. Clear Forms and Passwords

Make sure they don't see your GGW collection

You can talk about viruses, importance of a virus scanner, how to keep it updated, not opening attachments in email, knowing how to check the full file name of an attachment, knowing what extensions are dangerous to open (.pif, .scr, etc.) and which are safe (.jpg, etc.), disabling Windows Scripting Host on their machines, setting up security in the browser, blah, blah.

Isn't there some virus that spreads through AIM? (I don't use IM programs so I'm not sure)

yeah im helping her backup her stuff over network to my hard drives but shes scared that "easy cd creator 4" wont be compatible with winxp, which it isnt.
