uh oh I'm wasting my netflix money

last 3 movies I got shipped 8/4, 8/26, 9/14. guess I haven't been in a movie mood for a while.

The Good, The Bad, and the Ugly
Talk to Her
Last Samurai

all sitting on my coffee table.

I've been known to have them back in the mailbox an hour or so after I take them out of the mailbox. 😉

Relax, everyone goes through that 🙂 Besides, they announced they will be lowering their fees to $17++.
Their stock sure took a beating after that: 40% down.

I think Netflix should add Adults-only section on their site and charge a premium for that. I think their revenues and stock would skyrocket after that.

They'd have to monitor who was ordering the movies then though, I think.

Video-store chain Blockbuster started an online service in August. In response to the competition, Netflix will cut the price of its subscription service to $17.99 a month from $21.99 on Nov. 1.

We're all proud of you, asshat.

I ran into the same situation Yossarian, you can suspend your account for up to 3 months. They won't bill you, but your queue will remain intact.

Branch out a bit -- try some:
* Wwell-written American television (Buffy, Angel, Firefly, Stargate SG-1, Farscape, Babylon 5)
* British comedy (Monty Python, Red Dwarf)
* Hong Kong gun operas (The Killer, Hard Boiled, A Better Tomorrow 1-2, Time and Tide)
* Hong Kong martial arts (Heroic Trio, Iron Monkey, Fist of Legend)
* German oddness (Run Lola Run, Princess and the Warrior, Wings of Desire)
* Italian comedy-romance (Bread and Tulips)
* French (-Polish) art films (Amelie, Keislowski's Blue, White, Red "three colors" trilogy)

. . . or a Sean Bean film festival, for no discernible reason:
Ronin, Equilibrium, Goldeneye, Sharpe's Rifles, Bravo Two Zero.

And for the season:
* Nightmare Before Christmas, Sleepy Hollow, Monkeybone
* Return of the Living Dead 1,2,3
* Evil Dead 1,2,3 (Army of Darkness)
* Bubba Ho-tep

No, no, no, no, no.

* French (-Polish) art films (Amelie, Keislowski's Blue, White, Red "three colors" trilogy)

Maybe.

* Classic American films, it's surprising how many references to them you notice in popular culture. It's also surprising how boring some of them are.

No, no, no, no, no.
What, no subtitles for you?

* French gun operas (La Femme Nikita, Leon: The Professional, Wasabi)

* Anime:
- Ghost in the Shell
- Spirited Away, Kiki's Delivery Service, Princess Mononoke
- Cowboy Bebop
- RahXephon
- Noir
- Kino's Journey

Well, technically, you pay for service with credit card, therefore you are over 18 y.old. The moral aspect is a totally different story, though.

I pay $3 for every 2 rentals from a mom & pop store.

And every 20th rental is free. 🙂

At that rate, I'd have to rent almost 12 movies a month from Netflix to beat the mom & pop store. I don't see that happening.

i just signed up purely for sopranos dvd's im hooked to that show, i watched some on ONDemand but they only add 5 eppys every 3 weeks, but im known to watch 5 a day now....

Good point.. about the only thing Netflix has over your mom&pop store is that it probably has a much larger selection..

Just need a minifridge and a reclining toilet and your set.
