I was untangling a bunch of wires that had been taped with electrical tape that sorta melted - leaving that black icky residue. I did it on the kitchen table - white corion(sp?) now it has black tape marks. How do i clean it? We probably have every cleaning supply available to man in this house. Soap and water wasn't working too well, although i guess i could struggle through it. Help me! :)

you need a solvent... try some nail polish remover (or even better, something like Energine or paint thinner). You should definitely try it out in a corner just to make sure it won't harm your table's finish. But I'd be surprised if any of those would because they're pretty mild.

Good luck!

If it's corion just try using some very fine grit sandpaper and gently sand it off. It shouldn't damage it but try it first in a hidden spot to make sure. If it doesn't work, just try solvents.

You have every cleaning supply known to man, yet you only tried soap and water on it?

Yup, it's corian, that's the beauty of it. Not real permeable, TOTALLY repairable.

Pretty much the same as fine grit sandpaper. See. :) The bleach in Comet should take care of any odor.
