Uh-oh. Dana White picked a fight with the internet.

When asked to comment, the internet responded: "lol."

In other news, in 2009 the UFC broke the industry record for yearly PPV sales by $100 million... a record they already held.

Justin.tv just got some serious free advertising! I've personally used Justin.tv several times in the past (not for MMA), but I don't visit it often. Maybe I'll visit it more...

i wonder if he ever considered that the people that watch it for free wouldn't watch it at all if they had to pay for it. The streams is what gets a lot of people into mma in the first place. So that when a big event comes up, they would actually be willing to pay for a good quality feed from their provider.

Common sense is not allowed...

...or they could continue to pirate the feed since you know, they already know where to look and it's FREE

This is how I see it, the UFC makes a shit ton from advertising and ticket sales, which they wouldn't if NOBODY was watching their shits. Same thing with free network TV shows, so he should be thankful that people are watching this shits.

Lately, the UFC seems a bit like WWF/WWE, a bit scripted. ARE YOU LISTENING DANA WHITE?!!!

Seems reasonable that Dana White would want people to pay for the service that his company provides. Oh but this is teh intrawebs and every drooling hack should get anything he wants for free.

I think he is pretty naive if he thinks he is going to help his profits by going after illegal feeds. I don't view the online feeds, if I miss them live (at a bar for free) I get them from torrent the next day. He can't stop that. And fat chance i'll ever pay the $50. I think he's just blowing smoke out his ass and he knows it.

"When people start going to jail, people will stop doing it," White said.

Mr. White, please cite your sources on that one.

I used to rent every single UFC. Lately I've not liked the fight cards, so I have not. I have however been really liking strikeforce. Hmm, who's going to get my money.

Plus, I'm sick of paying $60.00 for over an hour of advertisements and a handful of fights with some advertisements for the latest video game, or the next UFC stuck in between.

I'm already paying you $60.00 stop advertising!
