UH oh, Check disk, disk doctor? Both don't work.

I have this western digital hard drive... see the computer won't boot because it says it is missing a system file....

ok pop it in another computer... Can't get to the folder I need to replace the file... check disk and disk doctor won't fix it the disk so I can acesss the systems32/config folder!

Are there any better programs I can use? I know the hd is gonna have to be RMA'd but I need to use the hard drive for a few more days to get this project out....


Anyway what disk fixing programs do you use?
 
Thre is a hardware forum that can probably provide better help, but you should be okay just reinstalling win2k... just make sure you don't format the drive. You may actually end up with 2 installs, but you can get anything you need backed up and then wipe the drive.
