<< what does that change? >>

Doesnt change anything we already knew, but now they have a legitimate beef to take him out of power.

true.. but taking Arafat out of power would only make matters worse

and there is plenty of reason to take Sharon out of power to, but that would also make matters worse, they both have to "phase" out.

hehe, yeah, but any more violence ther will only make matters worse.

And about that nobel peace price, that year there were three persons that got the award, the Presedent of Israel(dont remember the name), Peres and Arafat. They got the price for working on peace Israel/Palestine. Things have changed since then, the presedent got killed and Sharon got into power.

The brits may have started the problem after WWII by not having the guts to do the right thing when the UN told them to solve the original dilema.

but they didn't kill anybody, I think that goes to show that Israel has simmered down a lot in the last few weeks. Now the Islamic Jihad has decided it's open season on israeli's again. I think there comes a time when the palestinian's have to realize that they live in someone else's country, whether they like it or not, and quit attacking Israel. Israel, like the US will not sit idlely by as its ppl are attacked.

its like 2 fighting children, constantly bickering, except one of these children has the ability to start a nuclear war.

One of the "children" has twice been attacked simultaneously by all it's surrounding neighbors combined, including the so-called Palestinians, and has soundly beaten them back both times. This same "child" has had the ability to take over the entire Middle East, but does not. In fact, it's returned over 90% of all land it's occupied.

The other "child" has waged a constant war of aggression against the first "child." Every time it gets it's ass handed to it, it screams and cries and plays the victim. Over and over the surrounding Arab nations have used this "child" as a way to attack the first "child" by proxy, since they found they cannot beat the first "child" in a legitimate war.

Sorry, there is just no way an objective person who knows the history of the area can think that both Israel and the Arabs calling themselves Palestinian are in any way equally to blame here.

yes, both the Brits and the French, but primarily the Brits, managed to f@ck up the situation when it could have been taken care of. Unfortunately, they played both sides against the middle and then bailed out when things became uncomfortable and untenable. The sad thing is, even as they bailed out they could have rectified the situation but unfortunately, political expediency overcame long term solutions.

Much of the problem is that Palestinians think it's the other way around.
