Something I was thinking about yesterday that you guys may be able to answer for me. My question comes immediately after Smith copies himself into the Oracle. This comes after the Smiths corner Seraph and the little girl in an empty room, yet it never shows what happens to the two. The scene:

- The little girl tells Smith she's heard he is a bad man.
- Smith tells her, "I'm not so bad.......once you get to know me." Then a few Smiths walk into the room after standing at the doorway, and they all have a smirk on their face.

It then goes to Smith walking into the kitchen with the Oracle. One would assume he destroyed Seraph and the little girl, as you hear nothing from Seraph again the rest of the movie. But the little girl finally shows up at the very end. How did she get away, or why did Smith let her go? Another plot hole?

smith took over the oracle and she was there at the end. it's safe to assume he probably got the little girl as well.

I took it as:

Seraph and the girl were "assimilated" into Smiths, they were standing around the city during the final fight, then when wll the Smiths were deleted, she was left lying in the street, much like the Oracle at the bottom of the crater left by the Neo/Smith impact. Once the Matrix was rebooted, they were restored.

Could be wrong though, just my thoughts.

I think he assimilated the two, but at the end they do a sort of reboot of the Matrix, which is evidenced by the black cat, or at least I think so. Remember the cat in the first Matrix?

Thats my opinion...

Edit: Oops, Aftermath beat me to it.

When the group of Smiths walked into the room with the Oracle, she asked what they did with the little girl. One of the Smiths replied with the same line that the Oracle said to the little girl, "Cookies need love just like everything else." or something like that. Obviously that version of Smith was the little girl.

I forgot about the cat part with the Matrix 'fixing' itself or whatever it was. It couldn't have been rebooted, however, because everything would've been restored to it's orginal state, and she was an exile anyways.
