uh... is my computer haunted?

[flashbacck]

So last night, I'm surfing the web, and my computer freeze. It's late so I figure this is a sign for me to go to sleep. I turn off the computer by holding the power button 5 seconds, or so. Then I wander off to take a shower. When I get back, I sit in bed reading a book to help myself fall asleep. Then all of a sudden... my computer boots up. Now, uh... that was pretty damn creepy considering I was in my room by myself with the lights low. The time between me turning off my computer and it booting by itself is at least 1/2 hr to 1 hr.

Someone tell me this has happened to them before... and that there's a logical explanation?

most probably you computer was set to restart after a power failure in the BIOS, and if you dont have a UPS, even a small power drop would make the computer think that it had to restart!
