EDIT: Looks like he has some nose goblins... Wonder if he isn't feeling well...

NICE...did you take take these pics with flash? I'm never able to get a good shot of my hammy since he is always moving and only gets up at night. (Doesn't look like you used flash)

not blury, out of focus. Hard to adjust focus with a non DSLR.

With an auto-focus point and shoot camera; if it will not focus on the object you want, you can find another, bolder object in the area that's the same distance away. Do the half press on the button to get the focus, then aim the camera back to the thing you want to photograph. Works better on outside pics when the camera is trying to focus on a tree rather than what you are trying to photograph.

NICE...did you take take these pics with flash? I'm never able to get a good shot of my hammy since he is always moving and only gets up at night.

Yeah, used the pop-up flash. He didn't seem to mind, in fact he seemed to like it. I think we took those pictures around 1:00 AM, so he was probably just waking up.

Good tip...the pic I took of the flower was a sony s70 autofocus. my new camera isn't an slr either but features manual focus :heart:
