I work 17 today, 17 tomorrow, 24 on Xmas, and I've had 4 days off in 7 months.

Suck it up! :p

Just messing with you. Even the easiest job starts to suck after 10 hours. My friends say I'm a worh-a-holic. I dunno, they might be right.

my friends also call me a workaholic...but I have no choice but to work OT, or my job is gone

Yeah, I had to take a pay cut, because I was working too much OT. I can't wait to get into the military and get out of here. Not that I hate it, but cutting my pay because I work 55-75 hours a week? Pfffff....

I work a 3X4 12 hr shift 6pm -6am Tuesday, Wedensday, Thursday and every other Monday. We just completed shut down and I have a 5 day weekend ahead!

12s aren't half bad once you get used to them and the long weekends are great.

I wish I could work 10-12 hr shifts and have an extra day or two off, but cant really do that with my job.

My wife pulled two 16 hour shifts, then slept for 24 hours straight. Bakeries have it tough right before any holiday.

Would you like some cheese with that whine. Suck it up.

I work 13 hour shifts every week multiple times. I'm scheduled for 47 hours of work every week. And if i'm scheduled for Thanksgiving and Christmas, then no family time for me. And, as the case is this year, I'm working both. No thanksgiving dinner, no Christmas dinner and I get to spend 3 hours of waking christmas time with family this year. Oooohhh...and leftovers. Yay for my fvcking underpaying job.

You know, on second thought, I need that cheese more than you do. ::mutters::

*Edit: Sorry i'm such a heartless whore, I'm thankful that not everyone has to put with such a crappy work schedule and CAN spend it with friends and family. Next year will be much better for me.

Oh, and sure you think having 3 days on and 3 days off is good, but it doesn't matter much when you spend 2 days recovering from the last work week and by the time you're rested, everyone else is too busy moving on with THEIR work week. ::sigh::

Hmm, one of the best jobs I ever had was two weeks on, two weeks off, which meant 14 twelve-hour shifts in a row every rotation.
Ahh, the good old days...

Flip it around on yourself...

I'm scheduled 82 hours a week. I've had 4 days off since starting my job in May. No family for me either. I work extra on holidays. 17 today and tomorrow, all 24 on Christmas. My family is 13 hours away. I'm supposed to compete with a department of 14 people, and I just got a pay cut, because they couldn't pay all of overtime.

Pass the cheese!

;)

Sad thing is, I know there are people with worse schedules.

I worked a 12 hour shift on Thanksgiving once for triple time.

Paycheck came and the cheap SOBs only paid me triple time for 8 hours (regular shift) but only double time for the remaining 4. Wasnt a lot of money but still..................
